It’s hard to believe it’s only been a few short years since Herm and Jason took a leap of faith and started wrenching on a ’72 Honda CB450. Who would have thought it would have ever gone this far? Bikes having been built, parts designed and produced and a wealth of items every man needs to build the Cafe Racer (or Bobber or Brat) of his dreams nicely organized in a warehouse run by guys who believe the world would just be a better place if everyone had a vintage motorcycle in their garage.
It seems like only yesterday that the DCC Crew (only two then then, now 6) moved into a small 700sf warehouse where the journey began. Bike building took place in one corner, a small PC managed the web orders and a single shelf for inventory and outgoing orders. 6 months later, a second 700sf warehouse was added along with 10 shelves for inventory and more room for bike and parts storage and then another 6 months later a third…
And now, since there simply aren’t any more warehouses in the building available to handle the pulse pounding petrol burning froth of Cafe Racer parts and goodness bellowing forth from Dime City, we must move to a completely new location. That’s right folks, we’ve official outgrown our space! What an awesome ride it’s been in just a few years! It’s only just beginning though…
Right across the train tracks sat a 6,200sf facility that used to be a marble counter-top production house just begging to be filled with motorbikes and cool parts. It houses enough space for what seems to be an unlimited supply of cool headlights, seats and rearset kits along with everything else you need to build your Honda, Triumph, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Yamaha or any other make and model Cafe Racer. Take a look!

The plan is to move the warehouse and operations side of Dime City across the tracks with a set of new offices and a long awaited retail store front so we can finally invite folks to come and checkout the goods we’ve got on tap for feeding their speed fueled addictions. Fenced in and secured parking means room to setup long-term tents and grill stations and maybe even a stage for music and parties and bike shows. Oh man…we’re getting ansi just typing this!
The custom shop and R&D lab will remain across the tracks in it’s original location and if the Gods of Speed permit, at some point, it may expand and grow into another unit as has happened with the warehouse. What a fun time!
We appreciate all of you, without you our customers and custom bike builders we’d be no-where. For that, we are forever indebted to you. Consider this a personal invite to stop by the new DCC sometime in June (or when it’s completed) and checkout everything that’s been behind closed doors.
Go go Cafe Racer!
