After watching the "Kenny Powers, New KSWISS CEO" video on Youtube, we thought there was only one person who could rightfully name the new Dime City Mercury trucker hat. That's right, Kenny.
After receiving the hat and reviewing it Kenny promptly sent us an email in 172 point font with all bold letters that just read "MOTHER-TRUCKER!" So there you have it, the new Dime City Mother-trucker Hat, GET SOME!
Fashioned with soul like everything else that's born in the city, we knew we needed a trucker hat to represent our brand on the noggins of all our super cool customers, but we also knew that we didn't want the same white foam screen printed hat everyone else was selling for $20.
So after 4 months of R&D, 27 sample hats and Herm going crazy from Jason asking him how "this sampled looked" we came up with what you see here.
Built from high quality flexible yet stiff fabric in the front and classic trucker mesh in the back, we double stitched all the seams and laid them in red. Prior to sewing the intricate pieces together though, we emblazon the Mercury logo right on the front. Off center just a tad, just like you.
We then handcast our own version of the Mercury Dime to tie it all together instead of one of those childish little cloth buttons. Oh and the underside is polished smooth so it doesn't bother your head either. Nice, right?
Moving to the back we placed a simple torn swatch of red fabric with the words "Ride Fast Live Well" permanently impregnated in black. Just like the desire of speed in the fabric of men.
Flipping it over you'll notice our moniker, Nil Satis Nisi Optimum running through and through on the insides of the seams. We believe it and so should, Nothing But The Best Is Good Enough.
And for those of you who rock trucker caps beneath your 3/4 lids there's a little something extra in the form of an excerpt of Mercury for all to see when you're barreling down the lanes on your vintage speed machines.
Throw in a little wear on the brim and the cost of about a case of beer and bam, you got yourself a Mother-trucker.
