Product Description

Child progeny or bastard son, you decide. Born of a rock star father and a classical piano playing mother, the Dime City "Manx" blends the timeless and iconic world of cafe racers with the high speed adrenaline driven presence found in the platforms of legendary race bikes.

Paying homage to the classic cafe racer, we begin with a completely stock standard Honda CB450. We remove all the bits and pieces too far gone for restoration along with those not needed.

Once we've prepared the empty canvas, we begin the build process by grafting the DCC Manx rear end section to the standard Honda frame along with additional frame supports and gussets.

The Manx rear section affords the rider a more modern riding position and superior handling by relocating the shock absorbers to a lower portion on the frame similar to what's found on race bikes - changing the entire stance of the motorcycle.

Better handling in and out of turns, a much more responsive motorcycle overall, the Manx blends the classic air cooled, teeth-chattering experience of riding a vintage motorcycle with the modern advancements in handling found in today's sport bikes.

We recondition the entire electrical system along with every other aspect of the motorcycle. Wheels, controls, fuel system- you name it, we've rebuilt it or replaced it with something better!

To stay in control and get power to the ground we install a set of custom DCC rear sets with light weight linkage, all of which the rider controls from the custom black leather race cushion atop the signature Dime City Manx seat.

Keeping the soul of the donor 450 alive, we utilize the CB450 fuel tank base and graft dished steel sides for knee indents along with a custom streamlined top for fit and finish any track racer would be pleased with.

Once the frame is complete we move to the engine. Ported and polished head, stainless steel valves, upgraded cam, it's all here. When the Manx is kick-started to life it offers an experience found in no other motorcycle. It is as if you have traveled through time yet there are no worries of dripping oil or Lucas electronics...

The Dime City "Manx" is a different kind of motorcycle for a different kind of rider.

Pricing is modest for a turnkey custom bike similar to the photos shown. Complete customization is of course welcomed. We do not lock you into a specific build, we merely wish to frame the photograph, allowing you to help us hang it on the wall.

Do you have a tank or fender you want to use? Possibly a vintage fuel tank petcock? Or, maybe a custom titanium exhaust idea sketched on a napkin? Not a problem my friend, this is Dime City. This is your city.

Call or email us today to discuss how you can get your hands on your own Manx racer.
