After selling off the XS650 bobber in 2015, Nate went on the hunt for a Triumph to build. It wasn't more than a week later that he stumbled across a '69 Bonnie basket case up near Gurnee, IL, about 2.5 hrs away. There wasn’t much information in the ad and the pics weren’t any better... but, it was a '69 which is a great vintage.

After a few days of race-prep, wrenching, and (depending who you ask) a bit of R&R, the DCC race crew arrived at Road America, in beautiful Elkhart Lake Wisconsin. Here they would make their stand in round 6 of the AHRMA Road Racing championship. After putting the skills and lessons learned last year on the 4 mile 14 turn track to the test, it was clear that our boys mean business. The proof was in the pudding!
