Works great with a Yamaha XS650

Got these slip-ons for my XS650. I had a similar pair that were not repackable and that was my primary motivation for these mufflers. Ask already stated, the original packing didn't survive a 10 minute test run. I had already ordered some 1/2" thick ceramic packing. I replaced the packing and the sound was greatly improved but I still would like to tone the volume down a bit. The exhaust opening at the removable insert is 1 5/8" or 41mm which I found is hard to come by unless you're willing to order directly from China or the UK through Amazon. I may do that or just tinker around with a piece of 1 5/8" aluminum pipe and make my own "db killer". All in all, I'm very happy with these mufflers after I repacked them.

Awesome mufflers for my GS450

So I purchased these mufflers for my GS450 and couldn't be happier. After cutting my stock system into drag pipes I began to get tired of the loud drone them. I knew I needed something and these were the answer. They cut down the sound enough for me not to have ringing in my ears for hours after riding but still sound deep and healthy. Very pleased.

Yeah Boyeee!!

Loud mufflers with very little packing in them.I repacked with FMF 4 stroke glass and they are still loud......but I like it!!! Dump the collars and buy 1 piece collars.

Solid product for the price

I have test fitted the mufflers, they bolt up perfectly to my stock mounting point so thats plus. havent heard them roar yet but like the other reviews it appears to have very little packing, but I dont care about my neighbours so its will be fine.

Great value, loud and deep sound

Installed 2 mufflers on my '08 Kawasaki W650 instead of stock mufflers - perfect fit with reducers. Required repacking after a week as packing material had burned out. Turned out a bit too loud for me so I used handmade db killers - the sound became not so deep but definitely quieter and reasonable for evening and night driving in the city.
Delivery is fast, customer service is great. Many thanks for personalised approach!

Just right

The 17" Shorty reverse cone mufflers were just what my bike needed. I have a 1981 KZ305 and these mufflers make it sound great. Just loud enough. I'll use these again.

You get what you pay for.

For the price these mufflers are well made and look great. The one disappointment was that the packing inside them is an absolute joke. After installation and a short test ride, I took the baffles out to make sure there was packing inside because they were so loud I thought maybe the packing was not installed. What I found in both mufflers was a 1/4" layer of fiberglass wrap which was blown to the end of a muffler, leaving most of the core bare. Picture a quitter knee sock that just sags around your ankle. There should be a disclaimer posted that these mufflers will sound like open core, unless you buy separate packing and repack the mufflers. New and properly installed packing will reduce the sound levels, but will also increase the cost of these mufflers by almost 50%. Ok, I'm done sounding like a little bitch. I'm happy overall considering how inexpensive these were and as always everyone at DCC was great to deal with.

Daaammmnn...that's a goldwing?

I bought these pipes for a 1978 Honda Goldwing and I am loving it. They're light, they're loud, they're cheap and they look awesome! People have mentioned that it's louder than they expected and that's true. I wasn't sure if I would be happy with it being too loud but once you start driving, it just makes sense. The left muffler unfortunately lies directly against the frame of the bike when the mounting bracket is fastened in so heads up for any goldwing enthusiast out there. I don't know what's the difference between this one and the $150 shorty's out there but these do the job just fine!

Attached to my 89 GS 500, thought it was just going to sound like a straight pipe, wasn't what i expected, great sound, nice deep tone, little loud on the freeway buy why not, easy slip on, too pretty for the bike its on, adds enough back-pressure to keep bike running fine, all and all great muffler!

Nice!

'76 BMW R75/6 Cafe Racer resto-mod. Same as "QuickStart" above, I made my own adapters at a muffler shop (1.5" ID X 1.75" OD): Much cleaner and better engineered than the supplied reducers.
LOVE the sound, and the looks are exactly what I wanted. The quality is good and these are an easy installation on a BMW AirHead, and it appears on most bikes as well.
As usual, the service by the DCC crew remains "perfecto". Thanks!

Great mufflers. Crummy adapters for a thruxton.

I just got these mufflers and installed them on my 2014 thruxton. They came with adapters but no matter how i tried to combine them i couldnt get a tight fit. i finally ordered a custom set from Ebay and made them work. After instahlling them i love they way they look and sound. Very loud but not Harley straight pipe loud. Definitely makes this bike sound mean. I am very happy with Dime city cycles and these pipes.

Great value, fantastic sound with easy modification

I bought these for my '78 BMW R100/7 - Easy & quick shipping. They look great out of the box but to me, they were a little loud. So I purchased two packs of Moose Racing fiberglass muffler repacking, took the mufflers apart via 3 screws on the canister, took out the thin stock insulation, and re-wrapped the core. It takes a little bit of work to make everything fit back into the can, but definitely worth it! On idle, sound is just right (comparable to a Scrambler at idle) On acceleration, it still is pretty loud but has a nice bass sound to it. Overall I like the sound, as a nice medium increase over the stock toaster exhaust.

These Babys Are Awesome!!!!!

Just changed out my stock silencers on 2012 Triumph Bonneville with a set of these and such sweet music to my ears. Now the bike sounds like a Triumph Bonneville should and don't think they are too load at all. I won't say it was so easy a "Caveman" could do it but the fit is right on with the mounting bracket and supplied adapters so with a little time and effort its pretty easy to make the change. Highly Recommend and can't beat the price!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great deal all around!!!

I purchased these pipes for my '09 Triumph Bonneville. They fit great and were a snap to put on. The price is very reasonable and they sound awesome! They shaved a considerable amount of weight off the bike. The baffles are easy to remove and pack if needed and I consider these mufflers a great value. I am extremely pleased with the folks from DCC and look forward to many more purchases in the future.

Aces

These are the good old reverse-cones that have been around forever and as such are kinda classic in their own right, so a guy knows what he's getting and it's down to who's slinging them.

DCC does a good job here what with the price being fair, and not taking terribly long to deliver them. That and their reputation as not-dickheaded make them the ones to get these l'il guys from. So throw down your scratch with confidence.

Great sound!!

Love these. Put them on a 2011 Triumph Bonneville, and they sound fantastic. The only issue was that the hangers don't line up at all, but they are light enough to leave connected only at the header, and they haven't moved in over 1200 miles. I packed mine with stainless steel wool, and they are slightly quieter, but deeper and more mellow tone. This is the best bang for the buck slip-on one can buy for this type of bike. Really top notch stuff!

Awesome!

Fit great on my 75 CB-200T! A small bit of grinding on the sidestand bracket to make the left side can fit. Mounting tabs lined right up with stock for a super clean look. I was worried they were going to be obnoxious on such a small displacement bike, but i was very pleasantly surprised at the low growl. For the price, you cant beat it!

Loud, but can be restricted

Fitted a pair to the stock head pipes of a CB200 cafe. I didn't use the adapters supplied, but bought a piece of exhaust pipe from O'reilly's that steps down the diameter. Welded the piece to the header, directly bolted on the muffler. THEN, I removed the cone end piece and welded a large washer to the end of the baffle to provide more restriction to match this small displacement pipe. I just drilled the washer hole larger and larger until I got what I wanted. Matched my jetting and wasn't so darned loud. Excellent.

Great sound, good finish

Have a pair of these on my BMW and sound great, especially on overrun. The screws suggest you can take apart the muffler to pack with glass but I couldn't figure out how to remove the internal "baffle" to do so.

These are working out great. Loud as hell.

I put the Mikuni WM 30mm carbs on my CB360 and saw some stuttering through the mid-range, but never got around to messing with jetting or anything since I knew I was going to be getting these mufflers soon.

Installed the mufflers and now it pulls through low to high super great. I love these!

But yeah, everyone that says they are pretty loud is right. I might try and repack them or something, but for right now, I am just enjoying the hell out of them.

Look and sound great

Put these on my 2002 Triumph T-bird.
The sound went from ho-hum to muscle bike. They are a little louder than I'd hoped, and like most free-flowing pipes they changed the air-fuel mixture causing a major flat-spot at the bottom of the rev-range. I fabricated a couple of aluminum plates and mounted them under the cone end reducing the overall flow and the volume. A washer under each carb needle and it runs and sounds great without being loud enough to piss-off the neighbors.
Very pleased with the outcome!

Good Mod for CB 350

I used a pair of these on my CB350 race bike with the addition of the upswept adapters (part # 80-03255). Just a little modification of the CB header pipe by welding an outer sleeve on the end of the header. Slide the angle adapter into the new sleeve , fit the correct inner muffler collar onto the large end of the adapter, install muffler and tighten the muffler clamp. No ground clearance problems in the turns and they sound and flow great. Only thing to keep in mind is that if you are gong to run the mufflers with the packing /core, you will want to remove the stock muffler packing and install something more substantial. The packing material as it comes is very minimal. I run the mufflers without the core for racing.
