OEM: DC1-1 - DYDC1-1 3 ohm green coils. OEM: DC1-1 3 ohm 12-volt green coils. Replacement for factory coils. Fatter spark means smoother running and less chance of fouling a plug.

Check the resistance of the coils you are replacing to ensure a correct match.

Never select a coil with a lower resistance than your ignition system - this will cause the coils to overheat and burn out... It is OK to select coils with a slightly higher resistance. For example 3.0 ohm coils with a 1.5 ohm CDI ignition. While this isn't optimal- it works and allows you to switch your CDI ignition over to a Dyna-S in the future.
Mount spacing center-to-center: 3.5" (90mm)- or 4" (102mm).
If you have a 1979 or 1980 KZ1000, these bikes have a ballast resistor to use lower ohm coils. Remove this resistor if you use these DYDC1-1 coils. This diagram show the wiring change.View Technical Documentation
We recommend 5 ohm coils for the CB350F, CB400F, CB500F and CB550 Fours. The charging system output is too low on these bikes to keep up with the power demands of these coils.
