Measure your bike's cable dimensions BEFORE ordering - if a previous owner swapped out the handlebars and cables in the past, you may buy a wrong length cable.

IMPORTANT:
1) Cables must be lubricated prior to installation and use. Failure to lube this cable before installation as well as periodic lubrication according to your bike's service manual will greatly reduce the life of this cable.

2) It is important to make sure the barrel end of the cable pivots freely in the lever blade. If it does not- the cable will break prematurely at the barrel end. Remove any corrosion in the lever hole and apply a light lubricant to the barrel when installing.

3) Make sure the slotted cable adjuster does not have rough edges- sometimes these chafe against the cable and cause them to fray.

4) Route the cable so it does not go through tight turns.
