If you're building a budget busting backyard bobber the Biltwell Thinline solo seat is the one for you, bub! It's functional, comfortable styling cues include a narrow profile, a short, supportive nose, gently sloping sides and a steep rear kick to keep your ass from sliding off your ride when you're cracking 100MPH.

The pan is stamped from heavy gauge high-tensile steel and features ribs and indents for added rigidity and stiffness. The stainless steel mounting bolts work off of a carriage platform and are adjustable to work with most mounting points with minimal or no modification. Nice!

And if that's not enough the entire seat pan is electroplated for beauty and weatherproofing and the foam inside is custom-molded, medium-density polyurethane padding—not a shapeless wedge of open-cell foam. What’s the difference? Ask your junk that question after a 150-mile ride. Biltwell's molded foam will hold its shape long after the cheap padding inside most solo seats has compressed into oblivion.

Fitment: This is a custom motorcycle component that requires basic fabrication skills and mechanical acumen to install properly. If your motorcycle already has a seat hinge and spring bungs installed on the frame, you’re halfway there, though some additional modifications may be required. The Biltwell Thinline seat looks best on bikes with steep backbones and short rear ends, such as many Japanese and British chops, and many rigid H-D XL’s.

Construction: Heavy gauge stamped steel pan with high rear kick for added support. Stamped-in ridges on the pan increase stiffness and give the pan a clean, classic look. The pan has a sleek black electroplated finish. Foam is molded polyurethane, approximately 1” thick.

Installation Notes: A unique adjustable carriage bolt system on the underside of the seat pan allows you to fine tune the location of the seat hinge and both springs. This is especially helpful if you are installing the Biltwell Thinline seat on a frame with preexisting spring bungs welded onto the rear cross member. This is not a bolt-on product.
