Billy MacKenzie has received such a good response to his first build that he might just do it again. "It's really pushing me to keep going!" MacKenzie said. The stories of how all builders find their profession are almost always unique but we've yet to hear one like MacKenzie's. You see, Billy Mac is sort of caught between two careers right now.
MacKenzie, who turns 32 on April 7, is a professional motocross racer from Edinburgh, Scotland; He's a two-time British National MX champion and has contested the World MXGP championship where he has several overall wins, which makes him among the best of his generation. He most recently spent five years racing professionally in Australia but took a break in 2015. He came back to Great Britain where he holed himself up in his friend Keith Amor's race shop, founded a company called X-Axis and built a custom 1982 Honda CB750 starting with a clean JPS edition CB750 and a stash of parts from Dime City Cycles.
