"I have always owned Harley so this was my first metric project , I was not sure what I would end up with when I started, I just started cutting things apart. This 1978 Honda GL1000 has gotten more attention that any of my Harleys ever did.
A friend of mine knew I was between bikes last winter so he asked me if I wanted an old Honda to mess with, at first I said no, then he said it's free and I said hell yes. I tore it down to the frame and did a total rebuild. I had to rebuild the F'n carbs 3 times before I got them straightened out. The bike had not been started for 15 years. I had fun during this project and I found out Honda's are built pretty well. I was impressed. I am not sure what class of bike you would call it? Caf ? Brat? Street fighter? All I know is it's lite , sounds great and it's fast."
